The study involved 18 students, and the data was collected using a math anxiety questionnaire adapted from Mahmood & Khatoon. Data analysis was carried out using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to test normality and variance homogeneity, and the t-test to compare the mean mathematical anxiety between the two age groups. In addition, the Pearson correlation test was used to assess the relationship between math anxiety and age. The t-test results showed a p-value of 0.078, greater than 0.05, which means there was no significant difference in math anxiety between early and late adolescent students. However, Pearson's correlation test yielded a coefficient of -0.522 with a p-value of 0.026, suggesting a significant negative moderate relationship between math anxiety and age, meaning that math anxiety tended to be higher in younger students. In conclusion, although there was no significant difference in the mean of math anxiety between the two age groups, there was a significant moderate negative relationship between math anxiety and age. These findings encourage the need for further research with larger samples and propose improvements in the learning process through the application of differentiated approaches, emotional support, and formative assessments that take into account age factor.

Jennie Nabilah, sutini, Dian Yuliati Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika (JIPM) https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/index.php/jipm/article/view/5630 Thu, 28 Nov 2024 08:39:25 +0700 Efektivitas Model Problem Based Learning Berbantu E-LKPD Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Numerasi Siswa https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/index.php/jipm/article/view/5258
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the PBL learning model assisted by E-LKPD to improve students' numeracy skills in solving mathematical problems. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 10 Semarang. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. The type of this research is pre-experimental design research used in this study is one-group pretest-posttest. The research sample was taken by cluster random sampling (random sample). The sample in this study was class X-9 which consisted of 36 students. Data were obtained through written tests. Data analysis techniques using the pair sample t-test assisted by SPSS 16.0. The results of the study that (a) PBL learning model assisted by E-LKPD is effective in improving students' numeracy skills in solving mathematical problems shows an increase seen from the Sig value. 0.000 ˂ 0.05 then H0 is rejected; (b) PBL learning model assisted by E-LKPD was completed by 86% of the number of students who had studied.
Novia Purwati, Nizaruddin, Gunarto, Dina Prasetyowati Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan Matematika (JIPM) https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/index.php/jipm/article/view/5258 Sun, 08 Dec 2024 23:37:14 +0700
