Transformational leadership, specifically intellectual stimulation, is viewed as a key driver in strengthening institutional outcomes. This study seeks to empirically assess the influence of intellectual stimulation on the performance of private higher education institutions in Indonesia. Using a deductive and causal research design, data were gathered through a survey of institutional leaders in Southern Sumatra, yielding 163 valid responses from 205 distributed questionnaires.

The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and the results confirmed that the proposed model satisfied goodness-of-fit standards. Findings demonstrate that intellectual stimulation significantly and positively affects institutional performance. Leadership behaviors that promote critical thinking, creativity, and innovation therefore play an essential role in improving organizational effectiveness. The study contributes to the literature on transformational leadership in higher education and provides practical guidance for enhancing leadership practices in private universities. Practically, the findings also suggest that private higher education institutions should strengthen leadership practices that encourage intellectual stimulation among academicians in order to improve institutional governance and long-term organizational performance
Syaiful Bakhri Ulul Azmi Muhammad Alwi Mizal Copyright (c) 2026 Syaiful Bakhri, Ulul Azmi Muhammad, Alwi Mizal https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-07-18 2026-07-18 22 2 1 18 10.37729/segmen.v22i2.7869 THE MEDIATING ROLE OF WORK MOTIVATION IN THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK ENGAGEMENT AND JOB PERFORMANCE https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/segmen/article/view/7851
This study investigates the direct and indirect relationships between work engagement and job performance by considering work motivation as a potential mediator among employees of PT PLN Indonesia Power UBP Saguling. A quantitative explanatory design with census sampling was employed. From 154 returned questionnaires, 146 valid responses were retained after data screening and outlier removal. Data were collected using the UWES, WEIMS, and IWPQ instruments and analyzed with PROCESS Macro Model 4 using 5,000 bootstrap samples. The findings indicate that both work engagement and work motivation positively influence job performance. However, work engagement does not significantly predict work motivation, and work motivation does not mediate the relationship between work engagement and job performance. These findings suggest that work engagement and work motivation independently contribute to employee performance in a highly regulated electricity generation environment
Ananda Marcella Suratman Sri Raharso Copyright (c) 2026 Ananda Marcella Suratman Suratman, Sri Raharso https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-07-18 2026-07-18 22 2 19 30 10.37729/segmen.v22i2.7851 PROJECT MANAGEMENT EFFECTIVENESS IN ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS: THE CONTRIBUTION OF TEAM COHESION, COORDINATION, AND LEADERSHIP https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/segmen/article/view/7766
Good leadership plays a key role in influencing the success of project management, especially in entertainment events. This study explored how factors such as communication, leadership, collaboration, and team adaptability can contribute to effective decision-making and the achievement of business goals, thus fostering a work environment that supports innovation and flexibility. Data were analyzed using SPSS software to examine the interplay between variables. This study used a quantitative approach, conducting a questionnaire with 120 respondents with experience and perspectives in the industry and who had managed entertainment events (e.g., planning, implementing, and evaluating entertainment projects such as music concerts, film productions, cultural festivals, or television shows).
The results of this study show that team Coordinator is the most dominant variable in influencing Team Performance because it has the highest standard beta value (β = 0.501), followed by Team Leadership (β = 0.436). These findings indicate that successful team performance is determined more by the effectiveness of coordination and leadership than by the level of team cohesion alone. Therefore, organizations need to strengthen the role of team coordinators and improve leadership qualities to achieve optimal team performance
Rudi Prasetyo Shandra Widiyanti Copyright (c) 2026 Rudi Prasetyo, Shandra Widiyanti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-07-19 2026-07-19 22 2 31 43 10.37729/segmen.v22i2.7766 BRAND AUTHENTICITY, BRAND SUSTAINABILITY, AND BRAND EXPERIENCE ON SOMETHINC PURCHASE DECISIONS: AN ISLAMIC BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/segmen/article/view/7941
The Indonesian cosmetics industry has experienced rapid growth, intensifying competition among local brands and encouraging companies to understand the factors influencing consumers' purchase decisions. This study examines the effects of brand authenticity, brand sustainability, and brand experience on the purchase decisions of Somethinc cosmetic products from an Islamic business perspective among Generation Z consumers in Bandar Lampung.

This quantitative study involved 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that brand authenticity has no significant effect on purchase decisions, whereas brand sustainability and brand experience have positive and significant effects. Brand sustainability emerged as the strongest predictor of purchase decisions. The model explains 48% of the variance in purchase decisions, while the remaining 52% is influenced by other factors outside the research model.
Lailatul Fauziyah Suhendar Raizky Rienaldy Pramasha Copyright (c) 2026 Lailatul Fauziyah, Suhendar , Raizky Rienaldy Pramasha https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 22 2 45 61 10.37729/segmen.v22i2.7941 WASTE MANAGEMENT-BASED BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY TO REALIZE GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP A LITERATURE STUDY https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/segmen/article/view/7944
The escalating waste problem in Medan City presents a strategic opportunity to develop waste management-based businesses that foster green entrepreneurship. However, implementation remains hindered by low public awareness, limited institutional capacity, and a lack of digital marketing skills among MSMEs. This study aims to examine strategies for developing waste management businesses through a literature review approach.

Based on a synthesis of the literature, three propositions were formulated: waste management fosters circular economy practices (P1), the circular economy drives green entrepreneurship (P2), and waste management directly influences green entrepreneurship (P3). The findings indicate that all three propositions are supported by empirical evidence. The study offers a theoretical contribution by integrating three theories to explain the transformation of waste into entrepreneurial resources, and a practical contribution by providing strategic recommendations for business operators and local government to promote sustainable waste management in Medan City
Suci Cahyati Chairia Lisnawati Ginting Dina Meilisa Copyright (c) 2026 Suci Cahyati, Chairia , Lisnawati Ginting , Dina Meilisa https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2026-07-22 2026-07-22 22 2 63 70 10.37729/segmen.v22i2.7944 CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, GREEN INNOVATION, AND FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE: EVIDENCE FROM INDONESIAN ENERGY SECTOR FIRMS https://jurnal.umpwr.ac.id/segmen/article/view/7948
Abstract

Environmental issues such as excessive energy production and consumption can impact environmental sustainability.
